Wednesday!

Hey Everyone!

I hope your week is going great! Here are a couple of pictures that the Hub took around the yard. They looked great, so I stole them from him. I thought you guys would enjoy them. He has me on a break from designing anything! He needs a break. I finally let him in on the kitchen idea and he's on board, its going to take a while since work for him is a bit insane for the next month or so. Of course I will keep you all posted when I start.

My First Wedding!

Hey Everyone! Happy Weekend!

Last year I had the opportunity to help a bride on a budget.
I have a talent with working on a budget.
My "Closest" friend.... I will refer to her as my "Other Sister" from now
on. She is not just my "Closest" friend, she in genuinely my other sister.
She has been there for me since design was just a dream, just
one of my biggest supporters.

She introduced me to an acquaintance
of hers that was getting married, but on an extreme budget when it came to
the floral arrangements. Of course my Other Sister knew it would be something I would be
interested in. She knows I work Miracles.

The ceremony would be held at a golf course that has an altar for weddings.
The venue had a tight schedule of weddings that day. so I was told that the flowers needed
to be something that would need to be taken down fast.
I was up for the challenge and this is what I created.

INTRODUCTION: The Hub! My best worker!

As far as her center pieces, she wanted a very organic feel for her floral arrangements
and the mason jars were a must for her. The wedding was a backyard
wedding, so she wanted that garden theme. This is what I came up with...

Not bad for my first Wedding.... I didn't take any photos of them placed on the tables because
I delivered them the evening before, due to the fact that I wouldn't have time to deliver
the arrangements and still complete the Altar. We're only a team of 2!

Hope you guys enjoy it!

I'm Back Online!

Hey Everyone!

How I've missed you guys! My internet has been down since Monday! It has been so difficult and frustrating. After many phone calls with my ISP, Finally I'm ONLINE. I've had to rely on my Sprint service which is horrible here where I live.

Lets get back to business....

Last year I started my silver collection. I was given 2 pieces from my closest friend, and that started it all. They belonged to her dearest Grandmother and she knew I would cherish them. They were from the 40's and I was so honored to receive them. So now my new mission is to find great quality pieces that I know I will use. I've gotten some at Estate Sales, some were given by The Hub's mom. So here is what I have collected so far.

This is a picture I took on my iphone many moons ago of my tray that has a permanent home here on my coffee table. The Hub's mom gave me this one because she knew I would love it and display it in my home.

Furniture Day

Hello Everyone! Geez its almost Friday! This week has gone by so fast that I can't believe the weekend is right around the corner. This has been an amazing week for me and this blog. I was featured on several other blogs. Today I have the privilege to be featured at Courtney's
On
For my Bedroom Reveal
As a NEW blogger, I never expected to be featured on anything. I started this blog to use it as an outlet to share my ideas, thoughts and projects. I have met such wonderful people that are so supportive and I'm so thankful. I have so many dreams and hopes for my design future and I am excited to bring you guys along. For a long time, design was a fire in my heart and I had no outlet to share it. It was also a secret that I was almost afraid to say that this is what I wanted to do. I guess I was afraid what people would think. Now as I get older (27), I am becoming more comfortable with myself and who I am. I have great friends and family that believe in me and give me encouragement to do what I was born to do.
So nothing but THANK YOU to everyone!
Any-who, enough of all the sappy thoughts! I told you guys that I would share some more of the pictures I took the day we went to Big Daddy's Antiques. After leaving BD we went to a furniture district close by and saw some great pieces.
Here you go....
Now if I could write a check for everything you see here I would have!

I mean that side table along with the lamp, is to die for.

Just amazing....

You guys might recognize this bed from my other post My Dream Bed

This chair was perfect!

This is usually too modern for me, but with the right chairs it could be just right.

I have a project in my head this could be perfect for.

These two pictures I found from Big Daddy's Antiques. These planters were priced above a thousand... so they stayed right there.

Hope you enjoyed!

Tuesday Here we go...

Hello Everyone!

I hope your week is starting out good! Its a beautiful day today and  I thought I would share what I did with the urn I bought at the Pasadena Flea Market. It found a nice home (For Now) in my dinning room. I really like the contrast of the greenery with the metal. I also added these green moss rocks to the urn planter that I've had for a while.

Big Daddy's

Happy Sunday!

I hope your weekend is going good! Today I was going through my photos and organizing them and I came across these great pictures I took at this fabulous place, Big Daddy's Antiques out here in Los Angeles. I took them way before, when the blog was just a thought.... way in the back of my head, along with all the other things on my to-do list. So I thought I would share them with you guys. There was plenty of things to take pictures of, but these are only some photo's I found. I'm sure I have more and will post them when I find them.

We found this FABULOUS door driving by one of the shops close by and we had to just pulled over and capture it. I just imagined it as our front walkway gate.

I have to stop by this place soon and see what new stuff they have! Soon I promise!

I will share some more photos of this day, which was actually a very long day filled with plenty of different stores and some amazing furniture.

Another Friday!

Hello Everyone!

Since having this blog, I am always trying to think of new projects. I have a few things in the works already, but are probably weeks down the line. One in particular is my kitchen. I originally wanted an all white kitchen  maybe with a light blue color on the walls, white subway tiles, but in the spirit of compromise, the Hub liked the stone colored tile we have as the backsplash and countertop. My dream would have been carerra marble, but since we were not able to do new cabinets, it wasn't even close to an option to get marble. Though living here I'm actually happy in my kitchen, I don't NEED new cabinets or countertops or flooring. What I do NEED is a change lol. first I thought painting the cabinets black... then I changed my mind... But now I came across this kitchen by Lizzie Carney and I fell in love!

I Love the color of the walls, that are like a concrete color and the mix of the golden tones with the cabinets and chandeliers. One thing I know for sure is that my ceiling is to low to add the chandeliers. Second It looks like the wall color might be a sort of wash, so might need to practice my painting skills or just pick a solid simular color. Thirdly my Cabinets are white, but I can get the natural nuturals from the travertine on the floor and the conterops. But overall I will be picking elements from this picture to add to my kitchen, including the PINK flowers.

Heres a picture I have on file of my ktichen that I took with my iphone sometime last year. When I'm ready for this project I will show a full before and after

I'm going to cross my fingers to see what the Hub thinks, since I'm going to make him do most of the work. Hes just better at doing things and has the patience of a saint.

Have a blessed weekend!!!

Bedroom Reveal!

Hey Everyone!

The bedroom is DONE! (For now)

I re-used my roses from the Pink Weekend table setting and placed some of them here in the bedroom and all around the house.

Although the room is complete, I am on the quest to find two mirrors that will go above the lamps. I will also be looking for the perfect lamps......I'm not sure if I want mirrored, glass, or some sort of metallic(gold or silver or even gilver).

My OBSESSION with pink continues...I change my mind and style often so who knows how long the pink will last. Right now I am really loving the duvet it feels fresh, light and luxurious. I am also glad I don't have all  those darn pillows all over the floor in the morning, now there sitting in a container in the garage.

Remember the BEFORE....

Yeah  what was I thinking.... :-/

Lets get back to the NOW and try to forget...

The Hub actually sewed the Duvet/Cushions/Wall drapes.

I hope you guys like it....

Also, I just joined Instagram, Pinterest(I'm not getting it, but I'm trying), and Twitter.......... So feel free to follow me!

A Pink Weekend!

Hey folks! I Hope your weekend is going good!

My weekend started off not so great. It all started Friday, when I spent 6 hours at the repair shop for brakes and rotors! Yes I know!!! They sold my rotors that I called in a week in advanced to avoid them not having them in stock. So I waited untill they were delivered from another location, that took 4 hours!

With all that said, I was having my childhood friend over for dinner that I had not seen in 7 years on Saturday. When I invite someone to my home for dinner, I want them to have an experience. I needed everything perfect and the house in pristine condition. My Hub LOOOVES to CLEAN the CLEAN! He's is very anal retentive and  everything must be perfect. So leaving the shop at 3 pm along with work obligations left very little time to get a couple of things for this dinner, including necessary groceries and to Cinderella this house. Finally arriving home at 8pm we started with the cleaning and after a  Red Bull ( I know they're bad), we  finished around  1:30 am and couldn't fall asleep until around 3:30 am. After about 4 hours of sleep we woke up and  rushed down to the Flower Mart and pick up my table decor. Finaly around 12pm, everything was set and perfect and even squeezed in a work appointment and then my friend arrived, We spent the late afternoon catching up while I coked and the dinner began.
All is well that ends well.

I know I recently posted a picture of my table, but I think I really outdid myself with this one and I just had to share it with you.

Now if Only I could eat like this every day!

The menu was Fettucinni with Alfredo sauce made from scratch, per her requst and I happily obliged .

The bedroom reveal is on its way! Just a few more pillow shams away!
