I'm Back Online!

Hey Everyone!

How I've missed you guys! My internet has been down since Monday! It has been so difficult and frustrating. After many phone calls with my ISP, Finally I'm ONLINE. I've had to rely on my Sprint service which is horrible here where I live.

Lets get back to business....

Last year I started my silver collection. I was given 2 pieces from my closest friend, and that started it all. They belonged to her dearest Grandmother and she knew I would cherish them. They were from the 40's and I was so honored to receive them. So now my new mission is to find great quality pieces that I know I will use. I've gotten some at Estate Sales, some were given by The Hub's mom. So here is what I have collected so far.

This is a picture I took on my iphone many moons ago of my tray that has a permanent home here on my coffee table. The Hub's mom gave me this one because she knew I would love it and display it in my home.

Always,

  4. I'm a sucker for silver, too! I received my first platter, which was my grandma's, as a wedding gift. My mother in law just recently gave me another one from her father! That, along with other thrift end finds, is the sta of my dining room. I really like what you've collected so far!

  5. Nice to see you posting, Orlando. I love silver, too, and have several generational family pieces. There is nothing like its pure old beauty, is there? xo Diana

    1. Diana, thats great. I don't have anything that generational like that. A lot of my grandmothers stuff was given when she passed and I was just a kid :-/.

  6. I hate it when our pc goes down....grr, so I feel your frustration. Beautiful vignette and I love the silver tray, bouquet of flowers, and the glass container filled of pine cones and apples, very pretty!

  7. Orlando.... Welcome back. I missed you. I have a good amount of silver that I got as wedding presents but it is hidden away because I am too lazy to polish it. When I was little and my mom thought I was faking that I was sick and couldn't go to school, she would make me polish the silver. Maybe that's why I have an aversion to it!
